​Born in in the former Soviet Union, Alex Chemerisov, a.k.a. Alex Chemer, started his photo career in high school in Odessa, Ukraine. He continued his love affair with photography throughout his military service, as an air-photographer in Northern Russia and Siberia. He then became involved in the movie industry as a still photographer, as well as in news media and advertising. All the while, Alex devoted himself more and more to fine art photography and received numerous awards and reviews by prestigious art critics. He lives in Colorado with his wife, artist Yelena Chemerisov, a.k.a. Very Rey.
